Reading an MOT advisory without panic

An advisory is the tester saying: this is legal today, budget for it this year. Tyres, brakes and corrosion appear often.

A fail followed by a pass on the same day usually means the dealer or owner fixed the item. That is ordinary. It is not a morality play.
